and so so much more!!
Sports massage can be used on any horse! No matter what phase of life or career, massage has a tremendous amount of benefits. It is important to note massage is not a replacement for veterinary intervention and that I am not a veterinarian and cannot give medical advice. I aim to work with your horse, you, and your horse’s medical team to get them feeling their best.
How Will Massage Benefit My Horse?
The Sport Horse
Sports massage for the sport horse effectively prevents injury and maximizes performance. Massage provides an anaerobic workout for your horse, working out muscle tension and creating more blood flow to help treat areas of soreness and tightness. Massage will help increase your horse’s range of motion and athletic performance.
Once I work with your horse, we can work together to create the best plan for how frequently your horse needs to be massaged.
The Rehabbing Horse
Whether they're on stall rest or getting started back into work, massage helps maintain and build proper muscle tone for the rehabbing horse. Massage will help reduce soreness in your horse and relax them aiding in recovery.
A rehabbing horse can be massaged as frequently as necessary. For horses on full stall rest or starting back in work weekly or bi-weekly massages are recommended to keep them feeling their best.
The Retired Horse
Sports massage for the retired horse has the following benefits:
Maintaining muscle tone
Reduced soreness
Maintained range of motion
Pain Management for older horses
Massage for your retired horse can be done regularly or as a special treat to pamper them for a day.
What is BEMER?
Bemer stands for Bio-Electromagnetic Energy Regulation. It uses magnetic pulses to stimulate blood cells increasing blood flow and decreasing muscle tension. It aids in circulation by bringing more oxygen into the blood. Bemer can help to maintain a horse between massages and make massages more beneficial. Bemer is safe to use alongside other therapy options and is backed by veterinarians.
